The game features an original plot in which the heroes of the Marvel Universe must join forces to defeat Doctor Doom and his Masters of Evil and foil their plans for global domination. It shares many similarities with Raven Software's previous Marvel titles, X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, in that it allows players to select from its vast cast to create the ultimate superhero team. Ultimate Alliance is set within the fictional Marvel Universe and features many of the superheroes, supervillains, and supporting characters that appear in publications by Marvel Comics. A re-release version based on Xbox 360's latest edition was ported by Zoë Mode for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and was released in July 2016. A different Game Boy Advance version was developed by Barking Lizards Technologies. The game was ported to the PlayStation Portable and Wii by Vicarious Visions, and to Microsoft Windows by Beenox. As the costume unlocking condition is mostly after defeating 50 enemies, some characters can only be unlocked in specific conditions, mainly a specific side only, after choosing a side, and certain DLC characters.
As of this game, characters only have 2 costumes. Only available in the primary gameplay version, Vicarious Visions. Moon Knight, who only has three costumes by default, can now have a fourth costume via Mod version. can unlock Fourth Costume normally like Second and Third Costumes. Former Xbox 360 DLC (counting Hawkeye, if not included his PSP exclusive simulation) and 7th-gen exclusives, including Silver Surfer and Nick Fury Sr. Mod version discovers that we can add two more empty costume slots, albeit unable to add their passives passives.Īs Second and Third costumes are normally unlocked by beating multiple enemies until count reaches the condition, Fourth Costumes are normally unlocked after reaching the Gold medal of the simulation missions. This is the only game to have four costume slots by default, granting the characters three passives if wearing some of them.
